During this holiday season, with the help of Officer DaDalt of the Sturbridge Police Department, the teachers and students in Mrs. Thomas' and Mrs. Tsongalis' homerooms are collecting new, unwrapped children's toys. These toys will be donated to the United States Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program, which provides needy military families with holiday gifts. Our toys will be presented in honor of Sturbridge Marine, First Lieutenant Joshua Booth who was killed in October 2006 in military action in Iraq. Josh was a former Burgess student who left behind a young family.
If your family wishes to participate, please send/bring your gifts to school by December 15. A collection box can be found in the main lobby. Thank you and Happy Holidays!
